A variety of transport routes lead to the Hanseatic and Lilienthal town of Anklam. The tranquil small town in the centre of the "Flusslandschaft Peenetal" nature park is located in the district of Vorpommern-Greifswald, directly on the River Peene. The town and the town's own inland harbour are accessible by water for passenger ships and boats.

However, for those who prefer travelling on cycle paths rather than the "Amazon of the North", three long-distance cycle paths and two circular routes lead to this important Hanseatic city, which is well worth seeing. As a regional hub and "gateway to the sunny island of Usedom", Anklam can be reached via the main roads 109, 110 and 197. If you want a more relaxed and carefree journey, we recommend the excellent local public transport connections by train and bus.
